Description
R799 ? The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a sole source basis from Calian Technology (US) Ltd of Arlington, VA, supply / administrative services in support of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Liaison Office located at NAVICP Philadelphia, PA. This is a foreign military sales (FMS) requirement. One man-year of services are required to begin 23 September 2004. Tasks include but are not limited to: 1) Providing FMS logistics support activities to ensure continued through-life support to Australian Defense Forces (ADF) weapons systems supported by the US Navy through the FMS program. 2) Liaise with NAVICP International Programs Directorate, NAVICP, DLA and GSA Item Managers, RAAF TLO staff and other US DoD agencies to ensure FMS support is provided to ADF weapons through customer SPOs. 3) Provide Administrative Support to the SLO-USN Office. 4) Maintain up to date Standard Operating Procedures and Bench Level Instructions required for the performance of day to day duties. 5) Represent SPO or SLO-USN at conferences, meetings, etc. The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within seven (7) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a commercial items acquisition which is being processed IAW FAR Part 12 as applied to the Simplified Acquisition provisions of FAR Part 13.
