Description

The scope of work to be performed under the terms of this contract include, but is not limited to, Replacement of the existing upper plaza with one that matches the layout design of the original plaza at the Birch Bayh Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, Indianapolis. The plaza restoration will require: (a) Removal of all sod, landscaping and concrete sidewalks from the plaza. (b) Confirming the integrity of the existing surface trench drainage system; clean, rebuild or replace as required. (c) Installing decorative (stamped and colored) concrete plaza surface as defined. (d) Confirming positive drainage of the entire plaza to existing and new area drains and scuppers. (e) Installation of an underground lawn sprinkler system with electronic contols. A Lump Sum Bid is required. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220 with a size standard of 28.5 million. The cost range is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a negotiated procurement; there will not be a public opening. The solicitation will be available on or about June 3, 2004. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic Government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Registration (CCR) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR. The Central Contractor Registration database is part of the Business Partner Network, and e-gov initiative, and will be used to validate vendor identity. Effective October 1, 2003, all Government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award. You may access CCR at the following URL, www.bpn.gov. Once you have registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No Federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URS, http://www.FedTeDS.gov. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled "Register with FedTeDSQut and then choosing the "Vendor Registeration Form" hyperlink. At a minimum all vendors must supply the following information: Your Company's Central Contrctor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Company's, CCR Point of Contact), your company's DUNS Number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun and Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a D&B Number), your telephone number, your e-mail address. Any questions regarding this notification should be directed to the Contracting Officer whose name appears herein. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be July 7, 2004, at 4:00 p.m. (CST).
