Description
The U. S. Coast Guard Aircraft Repair and Supply Center is requesting industry information on a potential engine retrofit and AC electrical distribution solution for the HU25 aircraft. This is a Request For Information (RFI) only. It is not a Request For Proposals (RFP) or an indication that the Coast Guard will contract for this program. This RFI requests, ROM cost (Lease and/or Purchase options) and schedule information for any potential engine or AC power retrofit program using Non-Developmental Item (NDI) aircraft engine and AC system. The information obtained will be used to develop a strategy to maximize operational effectiveness and minimize Total Ownership Cost (TOC) of the HU25 fleet. Present Coast Guard plans call for operation of the fleet of 20 HU25s, for a fleet total of approximately 13,600 hours per year, through 2013. Interested parties should provide the following: relevant information on the potential integrated aircraft engine system; a preliminary engine system specification and a clear identification of where the proposed engine system is presently being used in actual operational conditions. Budgetary pricing to include total ownership cost (including all recurring and non-recurring costs) for integrated engine system no later than __(30 days). Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with this RFI. All information received in response to this announcement will be kept confidential and will not be returned. Additionally, the ARSC HU25 Product Line may request potential respondents to give presentations, provide their solutions, or gather feedback at our facility. The HU25 aircraft can be made available for inspection and evaluation of integration details provided an appointment is made with HU-25 Product Line Engineer or his designated representative.
