- Description
- The Deployable Oxygen System (DOS) IPT at the Human Systems Program Office, Brooks City Base, TX is in the process of seeking information from industry regarding development of a new personal gaseous oxygen generation system to compliment the existing Deployable Oxygen System (DOS). This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. BACKGROUND: The gaseous oxygen generation system being considered for development is a small (10-15 LPM) personal oxygen system, DOGS-S. There are two key performance parameters (KPPs) that these systems must meet. The systems must be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a medical device and the oxygen purity generated by the systems must be no less than 93 percent USP. The system will be deployed to support an array of military operations throughout the world.
