- Description
- This is a synopsis for the acquisition of Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) support for the United States Air Force Academy to include Farish Memorial Recreation Area and Bulls Eye Auxillary Airfield. SABER construction projects consist of real property maintenance, repair and construction work with minimum design. The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base period and four one-year options, not to exceed five years. The total magnitude of this contract is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The solicitation information will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Request for Proposal FA7009-04-R-0059 will be available in September 2004. No hard copies will be available. All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. This acquisition is set-aside for eligible 8(a) competitive companies located within District VIII. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Industrial Building Construction and the small business size standard is $28.5 million . While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on best value to include past performance. No telephone requests for this solicitation will be allowed. Contract teaming is encouraged as prescribed under the Small Business Administration (SBA) rules for Joint Ventures, Prime Contractor/Sub Contractor arrangements, and Mentor-Prot?g? Procedures.
