Description: The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center and other DOD agencies have a critical need for authentic foreign language video and web-delivered programming for use in curriculum development, as an everyday teaching resource, and for indepen dent learing. This programming must come from foreign countries that are not available via regular U.S. commercial programming and must be copyright free. Two channels are required 24/7 consisting of news and programming originating in at least 65 countri es. One channel (24/7 service) originating in China and one channel (24/7 service) dedicated to programming originating in countries of current strategic interest.
