Description
SOURCES SOUGHT/NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT WITH ONE SOURCE. The US Corps of Engineers Sacramento District intends to issue a sole source contract to Hach Corporation, Hydrolab Corporation to provide two systems. DataSonde Water Monitoring System and DataSonde Extended Deloyment System. The extended deployment sys tem will allow for lake profiling over long time periods. The Hydrolab system is an up-dated model of an older model that COEs employees used several years ago, and several other government agencies are using Hydrolab systems and this ensures data continu ity and comparability among federal agencies, free upgrade to new MPL board guaranteed as it becomes available, seven built-in expansion ports which is three more than the other systems on the market. The extra ports allows for more sensors, which expands the study parameters. Hydrolab Systems software allows for remote monitoring. Most of the responsible ECWQU personnel have been trained on the earlier models of the Hydrolab systems would be very short, thereby, saving the government additional training expenses. The Hydrolab systems are warranted for two, 2 years with an option of purchasing three additional years. The Hach Company is a USA manufacturer and will provide support to ECWQU as it becomes necessary. The Hydrolabs technician will provide e ight, 8 hours of free training on both systems. This procurement is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302.1. This procurement will be conducted under NAICS Code 334516, SIC Code 3826. The size standard for this code is 500 employees.
