Description

The Internal Revenue Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations TIRMS-04-Q-00140 under Commercial Item guidelines for courier services to transport inter-office mail to/from the Houston Headquarters Office and sub-office locations in the Houston, Texas area. The contractor shall provide daily pickup/delivery among the IRS locations and deliveries to the United States Postal Service at locations within a 60 mile radius in the Houston metroplex. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS codes is 492110 and the size standard is $3.5 million. The IRS anticipates award of a firm fixed-price contract for a base year beginning on October 1, 2004 and four one year option periods. All responsible businesses may request the solicitation in writing. The solicitation will be available on or about September 3, 2004. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be honored.
