Description

The Naval Air Depot, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC, has a requirement for the Replacement/Upgrade of the Data Acquisition and Control System (DACS) for the H53E Tail and Intermediate Gearbox Test Stand located in Building 4497 at Naval Air Depot, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC. This test stand is used to perform dynamic testing of H53E Tail and Intermediate gearboxes. The Data Acquisition and Control System (DACS) controls the test stand operation in manual or automatic mode while displaying and recording data from the components being tested. The replacement of the existing DACS include replacement of the existing console, including all equipment contained within and interconnecting wiring up to Test Stand Junction Boxes. All existing test stand capabilities shall be retained. The contractor shall be responsible for installation and training of the new system and verify its performance by completing the required Depot level test for both Tail and Intermediate Gearboxes in Automatic Mode. The objective is to use Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technology wherever possible. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns. NAICS code is 541512 with correspondding size standard of $21 million. The issue date for the RFQ was 23 July 2004 and Amendment 0001 was issued on 27 July 2004 extending the Offer Due Date to 13 Aug 2004. The solicitation and Amendment was posted on FedBizOpps.
