- Description
- The National Library of Medicine (NLM) intends to acquire academic licenses and product updates for PC operating systems and desktop productivity application on a sole source basis from the University of Maryland under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (C) (1) and FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1). Microsoft has identified that NLM is eligible to participate in a unique Academic Enterprise Agreement which provides Microsoft Academic software licenses at substantially lower rates than available through other academic licensing programs. The Agreement, ?Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Maryland Educational Enterprise Consortium? (MEEC), is available only through the University of Maryland as the steward of the Maryland Educational Enterprise Consortium. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This notice of intent is not a Request for competitive quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available. NLM synopsis No.04-240/KS shall be noted on all correspondence to this announcement.
