Description
1. The Contractor shall remove nine (9) existing automatic sliding doors at the Commissary Building. Do not remove the existing glass transom above the doors. All the doors are located on the east side of the building. There are three separate work areas: North Side doors: There are three doors here. Two are outside doors, and one is an inside door. All three doors are bi-parting doors, and measure approximately 10' wide x 7'-6" high. Middle doors: There are two doors here, both bi-parting. One is an inside door, and one is an outside door. Both doors measure approximately 10' wide x 7'-6" high. South Side doors: There are four doors here. Two are single slider doors, and two are bi-parting doors. The bi-parting doors measure approximately 10' wide x 7'-6" high. The single slider doors measure approximately 8'-5" wide x 7'-6" high. 2. The Contractor shall install nine (9) new automatic sliding doors. Install Horton HD-Slide ? Series 2001 Belt Drive doors, or approved equal. Install Horton C1234 Motion Sensors, and a C7775 Photoelectric Safety Beam, or approved equals, on each door as required. Install protective guards over the Photoelectric Safety Beams to protect them from impact damage. All the doors shall have medium stiles with 10" high bottom rails. All the doors shall have a thumbturn lock on the inside, and a key cylinder on the outside. Provide the keys to the Commissary Manager upon completion of the work. All the doors and frames shall have a dark bronze finish. All the doors shall have the manufacturer?s standard accessories if not specifically mentioned herein. Apply caulking around the entire perimeter of all the doors both inside and out. Install new thresholds beneath all the doors. The new doors shall be securely anchored into the existing walls and floors. The Contractor shall cut, modify, and repair the existing walls and floors as required to properly install the doors. Install metal trim, or other approved materials, as required. All the glass in the exterior doors shall have a factory-applied light bronze tint. Window film will not be allowed. The interior doors shall have clear glass. All glass shall be tempered.
