Description

The National Park Service (NPS) contemplates issuing a sole source purchase order to NTT Communications for the purchase and installation of multi-media equipment. The equipment will serve a presentation space in a converted gymnasium that is approximately 25' (H) x 55' (W) x 60' (L) with primarily wood surfaces, but also masonry and steel. The system will provide echo cancellation surround sound. The system will include a podium containing a central processor that will control all peripherals with a wired LCD remote control, including, CD/DVD, S-VHS/VCR, ceiling-mounting projector, roll-down screen, laptop and document camera. All of the above peripherals will be provided and installed with the exception of the screen and laptop. A custom-made podium will house the document camera and all system controls, including an LCD Monitor. A break-out box will be added to a existing motorized screen to allow for central control. System will include a super-bright XGA Data/video projector mounted to the ceiling. System will include surround sound processor and speakers (with mounts) for surround sound programs, wired gooseneck microphone, wireless lavaliere microphone and wireless handheld microphone. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting descriptive literature illustrating corporate capabilities to provide the required services. All responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
