Description

The U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians (OST) is in need of a Certified Public Account firm to fully reconcile and provide adjustments, with proper backup documentation, on three American Indian Trust funds that it administers. Records for these accounts go back approximately twenty years and are at various sites in Albuquerque NM and Lenexa KS. The successful contractor will insure that the reconciliation is based on the following criteria: 1) The reconciliations are approved by all parties involved. 2) The reconciliations are written in electronic format and bound hard copy for staff to understand and independently use the document. 3) Adjustments are accompanied with proper support documentation. 4) Changes to the reconciliation, if any, shall be made within the contract period. 5) The reconciliations and adjustments are reviewed by technical representatives for adequacy of use, and any comments duly incorporated. The government shall provide adequate workspace, computers, access to copiers and printers, access to program software, during the regular work day, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM plus additional time if required to meet the deadline, at the building on 4400 Masthead NE, Albuquerque, NM. In addition, the contractor will be provided access to the data deemed necessary to complete the task. The successful contractor is responsible for all required background checks, and security clearances and must provide these to OST prior to commencement of any work. SCHEDULE: The contractor shall complete the reconciliations by September 30, 2005. This solicitation is a 100% small-business set aside.
