Description
DESCRIPTION: This sources sought notice is intended to assist in acquisition planning and no formal solicitation exists at this time. This is a request for information only and a response is not considered an offer, nor does it commit the government to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of any submission. Interested offerors must submit a brief but complete capability statement that demonstrates the capability to perform these services for an evaluation to this office no later than 13 September 2004. All responses to this sources sought notice shall include company name and address, business size and type, point of contact to include email address and phone number, a cost estimate, as well as previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. This information will be used by the Contracting Officer determine if it is in the government's best interest to exercise the next option of the current contract. All responses to this sources sought notice should be forwarded to Mr. Mike Vicory via fax (202) 685-5966 or email, michael.vicory@navy.mil. LOCATION: Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba. GENERAL: The services to be furnished under this contract include operation of multiple watercraft, boats and related maintenance services, port operations and waterfront administration in support of US Naval Base (GTMO), Cuba. The contractor shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various watercraft and equipment and shall provide port operations services. Services shall be provided on ?turn-key? basis with the contractor providing all necessary management expertise, personnel, supplies, tools, equipment and vehicles unless otherwise specified as government furnished equipment. The contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective completion of all services. Vessels to operate and maintain include but are not limited to three government furnished harbor tugs, two government furnished yard ferryboats, three government furnished utility boats, two landing crafts and three government furnished offshore surveillance patrol boats.
