- DESCRIPTION: This sources sought notice is intended to assist in small business acquisition planning and no formal solicitation exists at this time. This is a request for information only and a response is not considered an offer, nor does it commit the government to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of any submission. Interested offerors must submit a brief but complete capability statement that demonstrates the capability to perform these services for an evaluation to this office no later than 13 September 2004. All responses to this sources sought notice shall include company name and address, business size and type, point of contact to include email address and phone number, a cost estimate, as well as previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. This information will be used by the Contracting Officer determine if it is in the government's best interest to exercise the next option of the current contract. LOCATION: Panama City, Florida GENERAL: The services to be furnished under this contract include operation of multiple watercraft, boats and related maintenance services, port operations and waterfront administration in support of Naval activities at the Coastal Systems Station (CSS) in Panama City, FL; the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderrock Division ATHENA Research Ship System and the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC). The contractor shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various watercraft and equipment and shall provide port operations services. Services shall be provided on ?turn-key? basis with the contractor providing all necessary management expertise, personnel, supplies, tools, equipment and vehicles unless otherwise specified as government furnished equipment. The contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective completion of all services. The contractor is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the two ATHENA vessels and miscellaneous other equipment. The contractor is also responsible for the NDSTC equipment, which consists of two Yard Diving Tenders (YDT), a Side Loadable Warping Tug (SLWT), a Light Amphibious Re-supply cargo vessel (LARC), a salvage wreck, salvage equipment and miscellaneous other equipment.
