- Description
- The purpose of this Amendment is to publish a list of questions received regarding this RFQ and the Government’s answers to those questions. The due date and time for receipt of quotes by Joseph.Widdup@nist.gov is hereby extended to September 9, 2004 at no later than 4:00:00pm Eastern Time. Questions and answers relating to this RFQ: 1) What are the minimum/maximum pressures needed in the environmental chamber? Answer: Briefly, the essential requirement is to provide a pressure that is 2-5% greater than atmospheric in order that no ambient air enters the enclosure and the concentration of the gas mixture remain approximately constant. Minimum pressure is not relevant. 2) Does the control system for the environmental chamber need to control the gas mixture ratio? Answer: The control system does NOT need to mix gases. 3) Will the fluid flow cell require a constant flow through it or simply a liquid cell which can be filled and drained? Answer: The fluid cell must be capable of constant flow as well as static filling. 4) Is the heating stage being used for liquid measurements? Answer: Yes, the heating stage is intended for simultaneous use with the fluid cell. The two operations must be compatible. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
