- Description
- The Information Technology, E-Commerce, and Commercial Contracting Center (ITEC4) intends to modify the Radio Frequency Identification - II (RFID-II) Contract DABL01-03-D-1002 to Savi Technology to raise the ceiling of the contract from $90M to $207. 9M in accordance with J&A No. 04-0006 approved on 31 August 2004. The raising of the contract ceiling is necessary in order to continue to provide active RFID tags and associated supplies and services for shipments of materiel to the Middle East in suppor t of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The requirements of the Active RFID technology include a family of read/write tags with memory size up to 128 Kbytes, omnidirectional read and write distance of 300 feet, operation at a frequency that is approved for use in a s many countries and locations as possible, RF emissions at a level so that Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation for Ordnance (HERO) Certification can be attained, and compliance with the International Committee for Information Technology Standardization ( INCITS) 256-2001 standard.
