Description
The National Park Service anticipates issuing a prospectus for marina operations at Curecanti National Recreation Area, Colorado. Prior to issuing the prospectus, the National Park Service will conduct a site visit of the concession facilities at Elk Creek Marina and Lake Fork Marina. The site visit will be held on Friday, September 24, 2004. It will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Park Headquarters Office at Elk Creek located 16 miles west of Gunnison, Colorado on Highway 50. Interested parties must R.S.V.P. by Thursday, September 23, 2004. Attendance at the site visit is not required to submit a proposal for the prospectus but is encouraged. The restaurant will be closed in early September, and the marinas will be disassembled for winter storage by the first of October. The marinas generally operate from early-May to early-October. The annual gross receipts for this concession contract averaged $811,303 from 1999 to 2003. No questions specific to the prospectus will be entertained during the site visit. Questions specific to the prospectus will be answered after the prospectus is issued. The site visit will view existing concession facilities and address questions about the existing concession contract. Interested parties for the site visit must R.S.V.P. to Dave Roberts, Management Assistant for Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and Curecanti National Recreation Area, by September 23, 2004. Dave Roberts may be reached at (970) 240-5432 or at "dave_roberts@nps.gov".
