Description

Contractor to provide all labor and materials to perform boiler inspections for the VA Black Hills Health Care System with facilities located at Hot Springs and Fort Meade, SD. Inspections shall be required at both Hot Springs and Fort Meade, SD during pre-established months. Contract shall be for a base year commencing October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 and will include four additional option years. Inspections shall be performed by a qualified professional boiler inspector who meets one or all of the following criteria: a) Boiler inspector who has a valid commission from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors; b)Boiler inspector who is regularly employed as a Boiler Inspector by a jurisdication which has adopted and administers one or more sections of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) boiler and pressure vessel code as a legal requirement, and has a representative serving as a member of the ASME conference committee and/or c) Boiler inspector who is regularly employed by an insurance company which has been licensed or registered by the appropriate authority of a state of the United States to write boiler and pressure vessel insurance. Requests for the soliciation package must be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer (FIN 20), 500 N. 5th Street, Hot Springs, SD or requests may be faxed to the attention of the Contracting Officer at 605-745-2092. Bid package must be received no later than October 1, 2004, 4:30pm, local time. Applicable NAICS code is 541330, Engineering Services. Subject to the availability of funds.
