Description
This amendment is issued to include additional requirements for the supply of a Mobile Radiation Detection System. Additional Required Capabilities: - Grab-and-go radiation detection capability for USAF first responders, surveillance and search teams. Can be carried in manned-vehicles, on RCAVs or UAVs, or as stand-off detection - Prefer 5 liter plastic scintillators - Meet criteria as specified in ANSI N42.17A - Rapid detection of large areas by helicopter or car - Online display of detection results - GPS based movable map/Ability to send data (radiation levels and GPS position) to a remote monitoring station. - Colored inserted track with local radioactivity - Discrimination of artificial and natural radioactivity (Co-60, Cs-137, plutonium, or other radioactive materials) - Direct data transfer during mission - Remote control of mission at base station. Ability to allow the user at the base station to display data real time on a computer generated map with radiation levels and then send instruction to operator at the other end. The Air Force Research Laboratory requires two (2) of each Mobile Radiation Detection System. The intended use of the system is for searches, check points, and delineation of contamination.
