Description

This is a notice that the Government intends to award a contract to DRS Technologies, 645 Anchors Street, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32548 to upgrade of the Advanced Range Data System (ARDS) Full Range Production (FRP) instrumentation pod to a Rockwell Col lins GPS Navigation Processor (GNP). Due to the proprietary nature of the embedded firmware and hardware, the supplies required to upgrade the system are only available from DRS Technologies and is the only known source that can meet our requirement. Oth er than full and open competition will be used under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirement. This notice is not a request for quotations. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties must respond by COB 14 Sep 2004. See Note 22. Point of contract is Hortensia E.
