Description
The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to solicit industry feedback regarding the proposed acquisition strategy for the BDU-33 25# Practice Bomb and the MK 76 25# Practice Bomb. The suggested acquisition strategy is 100% Small Busines s Set Aside, combine both practice bombs on one solicitation for fiscal year (FY) 2005. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) with a Base year (initial quantity) and four (4) option years thereafter, FY06, FY07, FY08, FY09. Offers will be o n an all or none basis; proposals must include an offer for both items included in the solicitation for the offer to be considered. However, the government reserves the right to make any combination of awards that are considered in the best interest of th e government (see website listed below for more detail). The resulting contract(s) will be Firm Fixed Price. Parties interested in responding to a solicitation for the BDU-33 25# Practice Bomb and the MK 76 25# Practice Bomb are invited to indicate their interest by providing a brief summary to the Government. The summary shall include the companys capabilities, including a brief description of facilities, personnel and past manufacturing experience as it relate to the criteria, as well as comments, que stions, or objections to the proposed acquisition strategy. Information must be submitted to: HQ, AFSC, ATTN: AMSFS-CCA-M, 1 Rock Island, IL 61299-6500. Please respond no later than 20 Oct 2004 and identify BDU-33 and MK 76 Practice Bomb Sources Sought/ Market Research as the subject of your response. Your responses can be hard copy mail, or provided on CD/Disk. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized in the development of the acquisition approach for future requ irements.
