Description

The Seattle District US Army Corps of Engineers anticipates a sole source award for one (1) scientifically accurate, submersible, remotely deployable, in situ ultraviolet spectrophotometer (ISUS) - necessary for continuous real-time nitrate measureme nt in Hood Canal, Puget Sound to evaluate eutrophication of the nearshore areas and for use by the Puget Sound Nearshore Ecosystem Restoration Project or Program (PSNERP). Item description is as follows: One (1) in situ ultraviolet spectrophotometer/nitr ate sensor or analyzer, with ? 0.25 m sensitivity, 1% accuracy, 1 cm path length, 200 - 400 nm UV spectrum, 9 - 24 VDC (non-isolated power input from batteries) input voltage, 19 - 75 VDC isolated power input, 11 - 36 VDC (Optional isolated power input) vo ltage, 9 watts (0.75 A @ 12 V) power consumption, 128 Mb data storage, Analog output 0 - 5 VDC, RS-232 and RS-485 telemetry options, software and operation manuals, real-time nitrate output, Full UV absorption spectra, 1000 h lamp lifetime. Delivery by September 30, 2004. Sole source justification is via FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Response is due no later than 10:00 AM PST 13 September 2004.
