- The Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center-East (ACA-SRCC-E) has a requirement for a contractor to provide delivery and pick up for bath towels and service towels to three locations: Fort McPherson Fitness Center, Bldg. 421; P ost Gymnasium, Building 422, Fort McPherson, GA; Neal Fitness Center, Building 700, Fort Gillem. The anticipated purchase order will be for a period of one year and four one-year options. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will list in detail all the specific tasks in the statement of work. The three locations listed above will have different deliveries and pick up. Specifications include and are not limited to. : (1) Contractor shall provide 100% white cotton bath towels, towels shall be extra-absorbent lint free terry loop fabric and durable cabled edging, dimensions at least 24 W x 48 L and service towels dimensi ons at least 16 W x 18 L with extra-absorbent lint free terry loop fabric and durable cabled edging to be used to wipe fitness equipment off. Clean towels shall be bundled 20 per bundle. (2) Deliver 1000 clean bath towels and 300 service towels to the N eal Fitness Center twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, No Later Than 1:00 P.M. Contractor shall pick-up soiled towels weekly on Tuesday and Thursday, NLT 1 P.M. Contractor shall stack towels neatly in storage area. (3) Contractor shall pick-up only used/soiled towels and shall leave the remaining clean towels at the fitness center. Based on quantity of clean towels on hand in the Fitness Center, the manager/fitness center attendant may reduce the quantity of towels (multiples of 20 each) added to the inventory. (4) Contractor shall sign and obtain Fitness Center attendants signature on a receipt at time of each delivery itemizing number of towels delivered, unit cost, delivery charges, towel lost fee, and total charges for the delivery. Receipt w ill also list the total number of used/soiled towels picked-up by vendor that day. Contractor shall provide the attendant with a signed copy of the receipt prior to departure. (5) Contractor shall provide large towel bins, based on quantity of towels del ivered each delivery, to store used/soiled towels. This is included in the service charge. (6) Contractor shall not deliver new/unlaundered towels to the fitness center. (7) The Government will only authorize a lost/replacement fee of 2% (maximum fee) t o eliminate daily counting of soiled towels returned. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 812331 (Laundry Services Linen supply) and the Small Business Standard Size is $12.0 million. This a cquisition will be solicited by the Request for Quote (RFQ) format using Part 12 Commercial Items/Services. The Government intends to award a purchase order resulting from a RFQ to the responsible Quoter using lowest price. The RFQ will also identify a ll information that the Quoter must submit in order to be considered for award. Failure to submit all the information requested in the RFQ may result in the quote being eliminated from consideration for award. Please submit your question via email.
