- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS NOTICE: NGB Intent to Award Sole Source for Wulfsberg Radio Communications RT-5000 Upgrade Kits for OH-58 rotorcraft 1) General Information a) Document Type: Pre-solicitation Notice b) Solicitation Number: c) Posted Date: September 13, 2004 d) Duration: 5 days e) Classification: Unclassified f) Set Aside: N/A 2) Contracting Office: : National Guard Bureau, Joint Contracting Office (NGB-ZC-AQ); 1411 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 8100, Arlington, VA 22202-3231 3) Description: This requirement is for a sole source solicitation for purchase of Radio Communications System Upgrades for the National Guards Counterdrug Reconnaissance and Aerial Interdiction Detachment (CD RAID) OH-58A+ Aircraft. The current communi cations components utilized in the National Guards CD RAID OH-58 aircraft combine to make up a compact, lightweight system used to transmit and receive on frequencies not available on standard military communications systems. The current Wulfsberg commun ication systems must be upgraded to the 800MHz system. Upgrade is IAW US Army Aviation and Missile Command Air Worthiness Release dated March 18, 2002. Associated critical avionics components for the Wulfsberg Electronics Corporation RT5000/C5000 800MHz Digital Communications System upgrade are as follows: " Installation A-Kits / wiring harness kits " Control Head - Flexcom II RT-5000 APCO 25 Model " Transceivers - Flexcom II RT-5000 APCO 25 transceiver and associated trunking requirements & mounting trays " Antenna AT-5000 Multi-band tuned 5.5 29.7-960 MHz " Any additional minor avionics equipment required related to the RT-5000 system System upgrade will be purchased from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Wulfsberg Electronics.
