Description

U.S. Army HQ, Field Support Command (HQ, FSC) is requesting proposals for M864 Recapitalization Program. This program will include building 768 projectiles, 155mm: Extended Range, Dual Purpose (DP), M864E1 in various configurations for qualification testing incorporating the XM236 Self-Destruct Fuze (SDF) using processes and techniques developed during the M864 Feasibility Study and will include an option for a continuation of building M864A1 production projectiles using these same processes. The RF P will be issued under W52P1J-04-R-0121. This solicitation is restricted to Day and Zimmerman (DZI) - Kansas; DZI - Lone Star; and American Ordnance - Milan as authorized under 10 USC 2304(c)(1). This procurement is being advertised for subcontracting op portunities only. It is anticipated that the formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 30 September 2004.
