Description

Provide all labor, material and equipment for design and build to rehabilitate a septic system for a Fish and Wildlife Refuge office complex serving 7 residences and buildings. The project is located at Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Ellsworth, Nebraska. Estimated capacity is over 1,000 gallons per day, requiring the contractor to obtain a construction permit and operating permit in accordance with the requirements of the State of Nebraska. In addition, permit documents must be prepared by a Professional Engineer, employed by the contractor and licensed in the State of Nebraska, and the contractor will be required to be certified with the State of Nebraska for this type of work. The performance period is 105 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The estimated value of the contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. The award of the contract will be contingent upon availability of funds. There will be a winter shutdown clause incorporated into the contract. A 20% bid bond will be required. The successful contractor will be required to submit 100% performance and payment bonds. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 17, 2004, with a closing date of on or about October 19, 2004. The solicitation will be available through the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE) (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Please note that drawings and specifications will also be posted with the solicitation as .pdf files and will be available for download from the GPE. The solicitation will be open to both large and small business. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered.
