Description
This is a full and open IFB Firm Fixed Price Contract NAICS CODE: 21311, SIC CODE: 1381, Small Business Size Standard: 500 employees. The magnitude of this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bids will be accepted from all interested responsible and responsive offerors. The mandatory start dat e of physical work is February 1, 2005, prosecute the work diligently, and complete the entire work ready for use not later than March 19th, 2005. The work to be performed shall include the installation of the Government provided stoplogs on the upstream face of Truman Dam at tainter gate #4. The tainter gate will be fully exercised, which will remove the water between the stoplogs and the tainter g ates. The Contractor will then mitigate leakage between the stoplogs and around the stoplogs. After mitigating the leakage between the stoplogs, the Corps of Engineers will perform a one-day engineering inspection of the tainter gate. After the inspecti on, the Contractor shall employ divers to perform a thorough cleaning of the upstream face of monolith joints 8/9 and 9/10. At the completion of cleaning the Contractor shall perform pressure injection grouting using divers below the lake surface at monol ith joints 8/9 and 9/10 to reduce leakage into the gallery. The Contractor shall monitor joint leakage and inspect monolith joint drains associated with monolith joints 8/9 and 9/10 located in the drainage gallery.
