Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency  Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with North American Cutting Systems, 190 Mesa D rive, Boulder Creek, CA, 95006. This contract will be for the purchase of a Down Draught Dry Fume Extraction Cutting Table to be used with the PCS-4500HP Gas/Plasma Cutting Machine already in use at YPG. The cutting machine was custom designed to meet YPG s needs by North American Cutting System. They are the only company that can design and build the table due to their knowledge of the cutting system they installed. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possess es the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 24 September 2004, 3:00 PM MST. Email your response demonstrating your firms experience and capability of providing this requirement to Edgar Angulo at Edgar.Angulo@yuma.army.mil In order t o protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 5 days instead of 45 days.
