- WASHINGTON DC or MARYLAND ? MAIL EQUIPMENT SHOP EXISTING BUILDING WANTED TO LEASE ATTENTION: THIS SOLICITATION IS A REPOSTING OF A PRIOR SOLICITATION ? PREVIOUS OFFERORS NEED NOT RESUBMIT The United States Postal Service desires offers for Existing Buildings for a new replacement postal facility in WASHINGTON DC for a Mail Equipment Shop. A building of approximately 44,000 square feet with site size of approximately 80,000 to 100,000 square feet would be most desirable. All offers will be considered. Requirements may vary depending on usable areas of the offered property. The site shall be properly zoned to permit Post Office use. PREFERRED AREA boundaries: East ? Route 301; North ? Rte. 198; South ? Pennsylvania Avenue/Rte. 4; West ? North Capitol/New Hampshire/Rte. 650 Offerors must own or control the property or be an authorized agent for the owner and provide adequate proof thereof, including a copy of deed, copy of survey if available, or other proof of ownership. Buildings offered will be evaluated on the basis of location, cost, value, transportation access, availability of utilities, soil conditions, environmental risks, topographic features and other factors affecting the use and development of the site. The term of Lease shall be for Ten Years, plus two five-year renewal options, for a total occupancy period of potentially twenty years. Improvements to the building, required by the Postal Service shall be paid for by the Postal Service. Submit offers by 10/01/04.
