Questions and Answers for solicitation FA4600-04-T-0195. No further questions will be accepted; Quotes are due at 1200 local on 22 September 2004. 1) Need to know if you mean 5 year Parts on whole unit or just compressor. 1 year parts on whole unit is standard (warranty period starts 18 months from shipment or 12 months from start-up - whichever occurs first) 5 YEAR PARTS ON COMPRESSOR 2) 38F is the leaving water temp. What is the entering water temp or GPM to be used to determine performance values? EVAP 440 GPM 38* LEAVEING 18 FT PRESSURE DROP./ CONDENSER 606 GPM 85 * ENTER WATER AT 11FT PRESSSURE DROP 3) No cooling tower information is provided. What is the entering condenser water temp and flow rate? THE TOWER WILL NOT BE REPLACED AT THIS TIME HOWEVER THE TOWER IS AN AIR COOLED 4) What voltage is the machine 208, 230 0r 460/3 phase?480 /3PH/60 THE OLD UNITS ARE AS FOLLOWS M/N# E20122B2RC S/N#5RF0011700 STYLE # 1FV6032G01 5.) Are the chillers for HVAC application? yes 6.) What voltage is serving the chillers (460 or 208/3/60)480/3ph/303LRA 7.) Is glycol being utilized with the system? If so, can you indicate type and percent mixture? YES, 50/50 8.) Centrifugal chiller is indicated, are other types of chillers such as screw chillers acceptable to bid? If not, can you indicate why not? THIS REQUIREMENT IS FOR A MCQUAY UNIT OR EQUAL INDICATED. IF AN OR EQUAL QUOTE IS PROVIDE, PRODUCT SPECS MUST ALSO BE SUBMITTED. 9.) R-134a refrigerant is indicated, are any other refrigerants acceptable? R-123?, R-22?, R407c? NO. 10.) Is a dimensional drawing available of the final chiller piping layout and location?
