- Duke COGEMA Stone & Webster, LLC (DCS) is seeking subcontractors with experience with design/build contracts of Nuclear Grade Process Units. This includes the design, fabrication, and integration of structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation components to form an assembly (i.e., Process Unit) that performs a set of process functions. For some Process Units, these components may be located within a glovebox assembly that serves as a confinement barrier between the process components/equipment and the room environment. For others the assembly does not include glovebox confinement boundaries. The Process Units to be acquired will support the construction of a Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) to be built at the Department of Energy (DOE) Savannah River Site (SRS). The Process Units will be released as Design Build procurements. Interested parties must possess ALL the following attributes to be considered to receive any further information regarding this solicitation. 1. A working NQA-1 or 10CFR50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program 2. A minimum of five-years of experience in the design and manufacturing of Process Equipment, Gloveboxes, and integration of same including the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation components. Parties not meeting the above requirements may be eliminated from further consideration, without notice, for this solicitation. DCS encourages companies to develop Teaming arrangements, to include small business?, in order to meet the above minimum qualification requirements. Interested parties are to submit Pre-Qualification Packages for the Company or Team as a whole. Companies that team shall have a Prime Subcontractor designated. The Prime Subcontractor will be the direct interface between the Team and DCS. Team Pre-Qualification packages shall be written to cover the Prime Subcontractor and key teaming Companies and shall be submitted by the Prime Subcontractor. Pre-Qualification packages can be obtained by emailing a request to Janice Olive at jrolive@dcsmox.com. Companies or Teams that have a current DCS approved Pre-Qualification packages on-file need not submit another package, unless the submitted package requires updating. A Letter of Interest to submit a proposal from the Company or the Team Prime Subcontract shall be emailed to Janice Olive at jrolive@dcsmox.com. The Letter of Interest shall state that the Subcontractor has a Pre-Qualification package on-file with DCS or that the Pre-Qualification packing will be forwarded. Letters of Interest are due by 4 PM EDST on 4 October, 2004, with Pre-Qualification packages submitted by 4 PM EDST on 22 October 2004. This is a Source Sought Notification ? for planning purposes and to evaluate current market conditions. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor shall it be construed as an announcement for the issuance of future RFP?s.
