Description

The government intends to solicit for and award a firm fixed price purchase order utilizing other than full and open competition for one HD-IT Degausser (230V-50HZ), P/N 951-0004 as required by the NCTAMS EURCENT. As the manufacturer of the required HD-IT Degausser, Data Systems Inc. of Lincoln, Nebraska is the intended sole source for this procurement. The required degausser is the only degausser that meets the needs of the requiring activity and has all of the National Security Agency (NSA) required approvals for declassifying/sanitizing. The statutory authority for pursuing this action on a sole source basis is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a). The required supply item is available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor will be self certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the offeror acknowledges that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance of the order and through final apartment of the purchase order. Failure to register on CCR may make an offeror ineligible for award. The solicitation will be posted on or about 23 September 2004 and close on or about 24 September 2004.
