Description

The purpose of this acquisition is to furnish, install, and test a complete Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and Continuous Opacity Monitoring System (COMS) at the Capitol Power Plant (CPP) in accordance with environmental laws and regulations. The new system replaces the existing CEMS and COMS. The system also includes equipment and software for a new Data Acquisition Handling System (DAHS), indoor enclosure to house the complete system, CEMS sampling probes, opacity stack monitors, CEMS/COMS analyzers (NOx, O2, and Opacity), multi-tube heated sample umbilicals, CEMS enclosure and rack. The new system shall meet the District of Columbia and Federal Regulation (40 CFR Part 60), as well as the CPP Air Permit. All work shall be performed in accordance with OSHA, Electrical and Plumbing Codes, and AOC policies. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
