- Description
- This is a requirement for the overhaul of the F-16 ice detector. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the F-16 ice detector. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The item and quantity is as follows: Item 0001: Overhaul NSN 6340-01-310-2536HS, P/N: 97690000-001 or NSN 6340-01-227-0342HS, P/N: 97690000-000 to be returned as NSN 6340-01-227-0342HS, P/N: 97690000-000; Noun: Ice Detector; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Quantity: Basic Year, 55 each; Option I, 55 each; Option II, 55 each; Option III, 55 each; Option IV, 55 each. Item 0002: Over and Above Work. Item 0003: Data IAW DD 1423. Deliveries are to be 5 each per month 30 days after receipt of order and reparables. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 8 Oct 2004. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
