Any award resulting from this solicitation will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with three pricing periods. The guaranteed minimum quantities are as follows: 127 each P/N 11579929; 1,730 each P/N 1157992 7; 150 each P/N 11579923; 1,300 each P/N 11579928; 120 each P/N 11579924; 248 each P/N 11579922. Descriptions: (1) Buffer, Recoil Mechanism (P/N 11579929) Buffer is manufactured from 7 components; major component is the housing, which is made from .27-. 46c AISI carbon steel per fed-std-66. Size is 1.32 inches in diameter x 7.90 inches long with .840 inch diameter bore. Outside diameter is turned to .968 inches-.002 at a length of 6.90 inches after chromium plating. Other components are manufactured fr om steel and spring wire. (2) Washer, Flat (P/N 11579927) Washer, Leather Cowhide, packing per KK-L-164 Tannage, Class 1, Fungicide Treated. (3) Collar, Seat, Spring (P/N 11579923) MAT'L: .34C Max AISI C Carbon or Alloy Steel. Overall length, 1.095 in.; Head Diameter, .835 in.; Body Diameter, .54 in. (4) Spring, Helical, Comp (P/N 11579928) Buffer Spring, Made from music a wire per ASTM A228. The wire diameter is .092 in diameter and has a free length of 7.75 inches. The black oxide coating Chromic Ac id Dip and a general oil preservative finishes are required. (5) Collar, Bolt (P/N 11579924) Mat'l: .34c Max AISI C Carbon or Alloy steel. Overall length, 2.885 in.; Head Diameter, .835 in.; Body Diameter, .54 in. (6) Bolt, Externally Relieved Body (P/ N 11579922) Mat'l: .27-.46C AISI Alloy steel. Overall Length, 10.15 in.; Thread Length, .80; Thread Designation, .375-24UNF-2A. Estimated Issue Date October 12, 2004.
