Z--SOLE SOURCE ANNOUNCEMENT Reprocurement of Masonry Work NAICS 238140 The National Park Service contemplates issuing a sole source purchase order for the competition of stone masonry work on the Desert View Entrance Station at Grand Canyon National Park. This notice of intent is not a Request For Quotation. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within 14 days after publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is a reprocurement for the competition of work started in January of 2004 and is approximately 70 - 75% complete. The general contractor was terminated for default and the National Park Service intends to contract directly with the subcontractor that has performed the partially completed work. Contractors wishing to submit proposals need to be aware that the finished product must match the existing work and will be required to warranty the entire masonry work, including work performed by others, for a period of one year. NOTE: SOLE SOURCE Procurement: FAR Part 6.302, 6-302-1 apply. Estimated Price Range is between $25,000 - $100,000. The NAICS classification is 238140.
