Description

The ITEC4 anticipates the issuance of a draft Request for Quotation (RFQ) W91QUZ-05-Q-0001, Passive Radio Frequency Identification Electronic Product Code-1 (RFID EPC-1) , for commercial EPCglobal class 0 and class 1 compliant products and services t o support the DoD and the Coast Guard. The equipment includes fixed, transportable and handheld EPC Class 0 and EPC Class 1 multi-protocol readers, EPC Class 1 Tags and EPC Class 1 Enabled Bar Code Label Printers. Software requirements include Configurat ion/Operational software for a PC to control and operate the EPC equipment, Configuration/Operational software for the Handheld Reader, software development kits, application development software, integration software (including middleware), RFID EPC Enabl ed Printer software and FIPS 140-1 or FIPS 140-2 wireless network security. Services include program management, customer support, warranty services and technical engineering services for EPC equipment installation, EPC equipment integration and training. The Government is anticipating the use of FAR Part 13 Blanket Purchase Agreements for each category of required supplies and services (e.g., tags, fixed and transportable readers, printers, technical engineering services, handheld readers). Anticipated release date for the draft RFP to the Army Single Face to Industry site https://abop.monmouth.army.mil/ is 6 October 2004 with comments due 21 days after issuance.
