- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 443112, Size Standard 500 employees and < $7,500,000. Purchase Request number F5XPPX42670300 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 effective 19 Jul 2004. The Government intends to award one contract line item number (CLIN 0001) for a complete Video Teleconferencing solution for the OSS Wing conference room in accordance with the attached description. DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: NLT 30 days after award FOB: DESTINATION. Inspection and acceptance: DESTINATION. OSS Conference Room Specifications: a) working room dimensions: 22' wide x '40 deep x 8' tall (note: center of room over conference table slightly inset ~"6) b) control room at deep end of room: 6' wide x 8' deep c) main conference table, oval, 72" wide x 16' long d) conference room has 1) 2 exterior doors, (a) one on stage right of chairperson (b) one at the far left hand corner of room, just outside control room 2) 1 interior door to the control room 3) 1 double window stage left of chair with heavy drapery e) lighting consists of 1) 6 overhead fluorescents in inset area over conference table 2) dimmable recessed halogens against the 3 walls of the conference room f) suspended ceiling tiles and drywall are room construction materials g) off white is color of walls and ceiling h) control room has 1) old glass for rear projection dimensions of 6' wide x 5' high? 2) household mirror for reflection i) x number of ceiling air handlers are controllable by wall thermostat? j) room has 1) 2 JBL program speakers above projection glass 2) 2 overhead speakers at edge of inset area center of room h) No in-floor conduit exists from control room to table II. OSS Conference Room Capability Requirements (these capabilities are to be priced as a "turn-key" solution): A. Tier 1 capabilities: 1) Provide VTC system a) Unclassified, no clear upgrade to classified b) MCU will be DVSG or Center-provided 2) Provide A/V system c) Provide VTC audio pick-up from chair and participants around conference table (1) provide overhead and table mics as necessary (a) The 16 principles and chair are the primary focus of audio pickup (b) Audio pick-up from the participants from around the room against the wall is not a requirement if it adds any significant expense or would degrade principle participant audio. d) Provide VTC and program audio through overhead speakers and program speakers if necessary (2) Provide overhead speakers and program speakers as necessary (3) Provide mixer, amplifier and switcher as necessary e) Replace rear projection glass and reframe as necessary to provide suitable sized image (1) Due to budgetary constraints PIP will be used for one or both conference and presentation images f) Provide required luminance/resolution projector with correct focal length or reflective mirror as necessary g) Other input device(s) to A/V system besides VTC will be: (1) Customer provided PC - audio and VGA minimum 1024 x 768 (2) Provide dual DVD/VCR player - session recording not required (3) provide switcher as necessary 3) Provide control system(s) (h) Basic control option (a) Use VTC/Project equipment and controllers to manage display / audio inputs and outputs III. OSS Conference Room Capabilities not specifically needed These capabilities will not be provided due to their expense, complexity or lack of a specific requirement. (k) Room reinforcement audio not required. (l) Additional equipment to support dual displays other than software PIP is not required at this time.
