28?Synchronizing Ring SOL FA8104-05-R-0010 DUE 12 Nov 2004 OC-ALC/LPKBB TINKER AFB OK 73145-3015, For additional information contact Edward Adams/LPKBB/ [405]734-8760. Item 0001, NSN: 2840-01-205-0547NZ, P/N: 4066672. A quantity range requirement will be solicited for the following quantities: 73 ea ? 145 ea and 146 ea to 218 ea. The government will determine which quantity will be procured at the time of award. Size/Dimension: Approximately 25.5 inch diameter by ? inches thick. Form/Fit/Function: Connects variable vanes to RCVV actuation system. Material: AMS 4928, Applicable to: F100/200/220engine. The government?s required delivery schedule based upon the median quantity range is due by August 2005. Destn: FB2039-Tinker AFB, OK 73145-3032. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date will be 13 Oct 2004. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation and a copy will be posted electronically to Federal Business Opportunities. To: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, CT. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Award will not be withheld awaiting qualification. If the government has not completed review of a Source Approval Request (SAR) when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
