Description

The Mendocino National Forest has an urgent need to repair a damaged culvert before the rain season. Work includes removal of approximately 110 CY sediment from the draw, excavation of material at the existing culvert, installation of a riser, corrugated pipe and flume. Rearrange the existing rip rap at the toe of the fill to accommodate new flume. Work also includes reconstruction of the road to the original roadbed template. PRICE RANGE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Project is located on the Covelo Ranger District, Mendocino National Forest. North Rattlesnake Bridge is located on M1, Pillsbury-Indian Dick road, at milepost 20.0. From Covelo take Hwy 162 east 12 miles to Eel River Station. From Eel River Station take Road M1 20 miles to the project location. CONTRACT TIME 12 calendar days. PREBID TOUR: A prebid tour is NOT scheduled. Work is estimated to start before November 1, 2004. Solicitation documents are expected to be available approximately October 7, with an estimated due date for quotations of October 20, 2004. Work would be expected to commence within a few days of award. The solicitation will be posted at this website for viewing and printing.
