Description
Scope of Maintenance: Elevator Service Contractor will maintain the elevator equipment in accordance with the terms and conditions subsequently set forth. Elevator Contractor will use trained personnel directly employed and supervised by Elevator Service Contractor. All personnel must be qualified to keep the equipment properly adjusted and will use all reasonable care to maintain the elevator equipment in proper operating condition pursuant to industry standards. Elevator Service Contractor will regularly and systematically examine, adjust and lubricate (as required), and if conditions warrant, repair or replace all elevator components not specifically excluded under this agreement. Elevator Service Contractor will service the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Transfer Center, Oklahoma City elevator equipment and its components parts in their present condition. Elevator Service Contractor shall make no changes to the existing design or function of the elevator units without the written approval of the Federal Transfer Center, Oklahoma Contracting Officer. It is mutually understood that the Elevator Service Contractor shall neither be required nor obligated to service, make renewals or repairs upon the equipment by reason of obsolescence, misuse of the equipment, another?s negligence, loss of power, blown fuse(s), tripped stop switch(es), theft, vandalism, explosion, fire, power failure, water damage, storm, lighting, acts of God, or any other reason or cause beyond the control of the elevator contractor, except ordinary wear and tear, from the commencement date of this Agreement. The Federal Transfer Center, Oklahoma City, agrees that in the event any component of the elevator becomes obsolete or outmoded, or is no longer manufactured by the original manufacturer, it shall be the Federal Bureau of Prisons responsibility to replace the obsolete or outmoded components. Any work not specifically covered under this Agreement shall be identified by the Elevator Service Contractor shall be performed with the prior approval of the Contract Officers approval at the request and expense of the Federal Transfer Center, Oklahoma City. Safety Test The Contractor will test elevator equipment as outlined in the American National Standard Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, ANSI A17.1, in accordance with the latest edition of the ANSI standard. The Elevator Service Contractor will perform once a year governor and safety test on traction elevators and relief pressure test on hydraulic elevators. The Elevator Service Contractor will perform a Five (5) Year Full Load Test on all six (5) traction elevators during the pursuant to city, county, state, federal and Federal Bureau of prisons policies, Hours Of Service/Overtime Provisions All routine scheduled work is to be performed during the regular hours of operation/regular working days, Monday through Friday 7:00 AM To 3:00 PM, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise specified below. This Agreement includes emergency service calls and callback service during Elevator Contractor?s regular hours of operations/regular working days. The Elevator Contractor will provide 24 hour emergency service, which will consist of promptly responding to calls within four (4) hour for emergency service should a shutdown or emergency trouble develop between regular examinations. For any overtime work requested by the Federal Bureau of prisons, the Bureau agrees to pay Elevator Contractor?s regular overtime billing rate. The Government will make award to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government. The proposed cost or price must include all associated charges or fees. All offers must be received by the Contracting Officer No later than 3:00pm, CST, on October4, 2004.
