Description
NAICS Code: 541620 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Climate Protection Partnerships Division (CPPD), Energy Supply and Industry Branch (ESIB) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to SustainAbility, Inc. ESIB runs the Climate Leaders program which enlists major corporations to set greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets and to track their progress toward their targets via a Climate Leaders reporting and GHG management protocol. A key driver for GHG reporting is the area of corporate sustainability. SustainAbility is embarking on its third international benchmark of sustainability reporting, part of the long-standing Global Reporters series in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program, and for the first time this year, international ratings agency Standard & Poor's. The purpose of this requirement is to support SustainAbility's production of Global Reporters 2004, the latest version of a regular sustainability progress report they have been producing for the past three years. This report is unique in the scope and breadth of its coverage, its engagement of major global corporations, and its track record on evaluating corporate sustainability. This will enable the Climate Leaders program to better understand the drivers and processes that are already underway in sustainability reporting and to ensure the Climate Leaders effort is harmonized to the extent possible with these other ongoing efforts. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 541620. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received by the closing date of this announcement, will be considered and given adequate evaluation. Responses to this posting SHALL be in writing. A determination not to the compete the proposed requirement based upon this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions or inquiries should be directed to Tom Semones via email at Semones.Tom@epa.gov.
