Description
NSN: 2840-01-307-9562PR, Part Number: 1285M49G03, Noun: AXIAL COMPRESSOR CASE. Item Description: Case is used to house the stators of the rear compressor. Item?s dimensions are 23.3 inches diameters by 6.0 inches wide by 11.1 inches long. Item is composed of Inco 718. ACFT: F16 C/D. Engine: F110 GE 129. Destination: FB2039. Quantity: BEQ is 13 each, however ranges will be solicited of 7-12 and 13-18. Delivery: 31 MAR 2005. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. Data may be obtained from the TeDs website at www.dodteds.com once the solicitation is issued. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 18 OCT 2004. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 18 NOV 2004. The anticipated award date will be 31 DEC 2004. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
