Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source Firm-fixed price type contract modification to contract N00019-03-C-6518 with Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) for the supplies and services necessary to convert approximately 140 Tactical Air Launched Decoys (TALDs) to Improved Tactical Air Launched Decoys (ITALDs) with Global Positioning System (GPS) enhancements, approximately 6 ITALD GPS vehicles with alternative payload, approximately 10 Improved Decoy Tester/Mission Programmers (IDTPs), approximately 10 O/I Level Cabling Kits, approximately 4 GPS ITALD Training Vehicles, approximately 9 Shapes (dummy ITLADS), as well as associated technical data, engineering support and supply support equipment. IMI is the sole manufacturer of ITALDs, and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform these efforts. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22.
