Description

Perform construction and repairs to wetland restoration practices for two sites in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. Site 1: Construct dike extension; reconstruct wing dike; and remove and replace flash board riser/barrel pipe water control structure. Site 2: Reduce size of riprap scour area; construct three wing dikes; repair existing wing dike; and install approximately 150 LF of PVC drain pipe. Work will require approximately 1,800 cy of common excavation; approximately 3,200 cy earth fill and top soiling; one four-sided cattle panel structure; and approximately 1.25 ac of grassing. Performance time is 55 calendar days, including 13 days for mobilization. The estimated price is within the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation is subject to full and open competition. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from the website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on about October 18, 2004. The site showing will be held at the Orangeburg Field Office, 1550 Henley Street, NE, Room 103, Orangeburg, South Carolina on October 20, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site.
