Description
DESCRIPTION: The Sacramento District Corps of Engineers Environmental Chemistry Water Quality Unit will purchase the following systems: The first system is a multi-parameter water-profiling unit that will include at a minimum temperature sensor, co nductivity sensor, DO sensor, pH sensor, water depth sensor, integrated chlorophyll sensor, and ambient light sensor. All sensors must be operational on the system during a singular profiling event, therefore the probe will have enough sensor data ports t o manage at least all of the sensors at the same time. The system also must include any applicable calibration and maintenance kits, a carrying case, manuals, computer connection cables, Windows compatible software for data management, a 100 meter minimum detachable cable, a field data display unit that has Global Positioning System and barometric pressure sensors and can store the information from at a minimum of 10 profiling events. The second system is a multi-parameter water profiling/monitoring unit for extended deployment for approximately 2-3 weeks. The unit will have the ability to be used for single sampling or lake profiling over long time periods. The second system will inc lude at a minimum a temperature sensor, conductivity sensor, DO senor, pH sensor, water depth sensor, turbidity sensor, and nitrate sensor. All sensors must be operational on the system during a singular profiling event, therefore the probe will have enou gh sensor data ports to manage at least all of the sensors at the same time. Additionally, due to being a longer deployment system, the unit will have a self-cleaning feature to ensure the fouling of the probes is minimized and the necessary data storage and battery power. The system also must include any applicable calibration and maintenance kits, a carrying case, manuals, computer connection cables, Windows compatible software for data management, a 100 meter minimum detachable cable, a field data disp lay unit that has Global Positioning System and barometric pressure sensors and can store the information from at a minimum of 10 profiling events. The proposed system should have the following general specifications 1: the system shall be designed to be rugged, reliable, easy to maintain, and waterproof, 2: measure and store real time data from multi sensors, 3: field data should be downloadable, 4: sensitive to the chemicals of concern, 5: System should include a Global Positioning system and 6: all other necessary accessories to make the system fully operational. In addition, companies should describe system warranty and the time covered; a detail description of the training program should be included with the quoted package. Additional criteria are indicated in the Scope of Work dated 15 September 2004. This procurement will be conducted under Supply and Equipment code 3826, NAICS code 334516. T he size standards for these codes are 500 employees. The submission date is 26 October 2004, 1:00 local time.
