Potential sources sought to participate in a Vendor Fair for the purpose of information-seeking only at this time. Information to be used for possible future standardization initiatives. Tri-Service Northeast Region, an integrated military health care delivery network comprised of Army, Air Force, and Navy Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) is hosting an information-seeking vendor fair for Intravenous Infusion Pumps and also Patient-Contro lled Analgesia Pumps. This is not a request for bids but an invitation to participate in an Intravenous Infusion Pump and Patient-Controlled Analgesia Pump (PCA) product line demonstration to military treatment facility staff members that will enhance the professional knowledge of the design and operation of state-of-the-art infusion pumps and state-of-the-art PCA pumps. Vendors must be able to provide their transportation, provide equipment/supplies, provide equipment demonstration, and provide product l iterature at no charge to the government. Vendors must also be able to provide a sufficient number of representatives to conduct multiple equipment demonstration in a fast-paced vendor fair atmosphere and be available for questions from the MTF staff as n eeded for the duration of the Vendor Fair at no charge to the government. Informal written staff evaluations of equipment design and operations may be conducted and will remain the permanent property of the Tri-Service Regional Business Office. The technical and clinical criteria of interest for this vendor fair includes but is not limited to the following: Single /dual and multi-channel/secondary infusion design Battery back-up design Tamper-proof design Free-flow prevention design Full range of programming capabilities Luer-lock connection/needleless connection design Full range of alarms/indicators Medication safety system/medication error reduction systems Data log capabilities Patient identification system interface/integration, such as bar coding technology, with pharmacy information systems, general hospital information systems, and patient call systems Electro-magnetic interference guarding systems Evidence of Human Factors design testing. A Vendor Fair is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 02 November 2004 7:00AM to 3:00PM at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. The Vendor Fair Rules of Engagement and detailed event information will be provided to vendors, suppliers, and manufac turers who are willing to participate. Information regarding Distribution And Pricing Agreement (DAPA) application with the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) and the Tri-Service Prime Vendor Program will be available at the Vendor Fair. DAPA appl ication and confirmation and participation in the Prime Vendor Program is a requirement for participation in future standardization initiatives for this product line.
