Description

Notice of Intent: Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements", the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Center for Federal Investigative Services (CFIS) intends to renew sole-source agreements to obtain detailed criminal record information through the Regional Justice Information System (REJIS). The REJIS Commission, a regional agency located in St. Louis, MS, provides criminal record information to be utilized in analyzing investigative information for security and suitability adjudication. This service is to gather information available only to other Government agencies. The anticipated contract action for this service is less then $100,000. OPM Center for Federal Investigations Service (CFIS) intends to renew this criminal record information service with the REJIS Commission. Furthermore, OPM CFIS deems it appropriate to award fixed-price agreements on other than a full and open competitive basis to the REJIS Commission. The REJIS Commission is the available responsible source and no other type of service will satisfy this Agency requirement. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 519120 - Libraries and Archives. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. FURTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is not a solicitation for offers but rather a notice of OPM's intent to negotiate a sole source award to the REJIS Commission. This notice is for information only, and may represent the only official notice.
