Description: The USDA, Agricultural Research Service(ARS) intends to negotiate solely with Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA for a service maintenance contract for the ABI Prism 3730XL DNA Analyzer. This instrumentation is mission critical for sequencing of genes performed by the USDA and cannot experience downtime disruptive to research. Companies with demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide such service must submit a written substantive statement outlining the company's capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 5 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for quotation nor is a solicitation available.
